William Fenn, DMD

Dr. Fenn grew up outside of Bangor and now resides in Standish, Maine. His road to becoming a dentist started with discovering woodworking and carpentry in high school and realizing that he wanted to work with his hands for a living. Matched with his love of science, understanding how things work, and fixing things, dentistry was just too good of a fit to ignore. Dr. Fenn attended the University of Maine at Orono for Biology and continued on to the University of New England, graduating from the inaugural class of the School of Dental Medicine.

While it is Dr. Fenn’s love of science and desire to work with his hands that led him to the dental field, it is dentistry’s ability to help people on a daily basis that makes him love his profession. Sitting in a dental chair isn’t everyone’s favorite place; it wasn’t Dr. Fenn’s favorite either. Therefore, he always tries to make appointments as easy and pleasant as possible. He also likes questions so don’t hesitate to ask.

When Dr. Fenn isn’t helping people make beautiful smiles at the office, you will likely find him spending time outdoors with his wife Brittany, and their two dogs, Pepper and Hazel. Backpacking in the White Mountains, fly fishing in Baxter State Park, spending time at his family’s camp in Ellsworth, and being in nature around a campfire with friends is where he is most happy.
